DFG-gef?rdertes Forschungsprojekt zur IODP Expedition 385
Ich untersuche derzeit den Prozess der Magma-Sediment-Interaktion und die Langlebigkeit von flachen, hydrothermalen Systemen, die von flachen Off-Axis-Sill-Intrusionen im Guaymas-Becken im Golf von Kalifornien angetrieben werden. Diese Systeme stellen einen Schl¨¹ssel zur Beantwortung grundlegender Fragen im Zusammenhang mit der Rolle des Riftmagmatismus im globalen Kohlenstoffkreislauf, dem Klimawandel und der Frage, wie das Leben w?hrend eines gro?en Rifting-Ereignisses aufbl¨¹hen kann, dar.
Diese Forschung beinhaltet neu gesammelte, petrophysikalische Daten der IODP Expedition 385, um die vielf?ltigen Auswirkungen des Magma-Sediment-Mischungsprozesses in einem jungen Riftbecken zu untersuchen und zu quantifizieren.
BMBF-gef?rdertes Forschungsprojekt im Rahmen der DATIpilot-F?rderrichtlinie
Wir arbeiten an der Erstellung einer weltweit fl?chendeckenden Temperaturdatenbank f¨¹r die ersten 40 m der Wassers?ule. Zu diesem Zweck sammeln wir Temperaturdaten, die von Standard-Tauchcomputern aufgezeichnet werden, die gew?hnlicherweise von Sporttauchern verwendet werden.
