Registration for German courses

Our German courses are open to the following participants:

  • Students at public universities in Bremen
  • ERASMUS students enrolled at one of the four public universities in Bremen
  • Researchers and visiting researchers at public universities in the state of Bremen

We offer semester-long courses at language levels A1.1 to C1.1 of the CEFR.

These courses will be posted online and open for registration on August 27, 2025  in the morning.

At that point in time, an overview of all courses can be found here: Language Center of the Universities in the State of Bremen (SZHB).

A placement test is required to participate in a course at language level A1.2 or above.

Special notice about obtaining your placement test

Please note that it may take a few days until you receive the placement test. After you have taken the placement test, we will book you into a course at the appropriate level and automatically send you your registration confirmation by email.
