Context & Relevance

Research data often comes from many different projects, in different formats and in high quantities - leaving researcher with the challenge of managing "everything, everywhere, all at once". Effective data management not only reduces stress, frustration and saves time, but also support transparency, reproducibility and collaboration. Which leads, in the long term, to better research and better reputations.

Workshop Goal

This workshop introduces practical, sustainable strategies for organizing research data while recognizing that every researcher's needs and working styles are different.

Although the workshop is open to all, it places special emphasis on supporting neurodivergent researchers, who may face particular challenges in structuring and handling data. The lecturer herself is neurodivergent and will share personal experiences and strategies that have proven helpful in turning data chaos into manageable structures. At the same time, the session will highlight that data management can be challenging, exhausting - or simply boring - for everyone, and that more creative and enjoyable approaches can benefit all researchers.

Through guided discussions and reflective exercises, participants will explore their own challenges, share experiences, and discover adaptable approaches to documentation, organization, and storage. By the end of the session, attendees will leave with personalized insights and strategies to bring clarity, structure, and even a bit of fun to their research data.
