Qualification program
The Minds, Media, Machines Integrated Graduate School's qualification program is open to all doctoral candidates whose doctorate is supervised by a member of the high-profile area Minds, Media, Machines or who participate in a doctoral program within the MMMIGS network. Regularly offered courses such as the Intro2PhD and Career Orientation seminars form the basis of the qualification program. Furthermore, the program is geared to the needs and interests of doctoral candidates, which are regularly surveyed by the MMMIGS. The focus is on courses and workshops that are of interest to doctoral candidates from various doctoral programs and MMM working groups. These could include courses on robotics or game engines, for example, but also workshops on research methods or research data management. Where possible, members of the high-profile area Minds, Media, Machines and the faculty members involved in the doctoral programs within the MMMIGS network should contribute their specialist and methodological expertise to the MMMIGS qualification program.
MMMIGS Intro2PhD
The Intro2PhD seminar is aimed at doctoral candidates who recently started their doctorate. The Intro2PhD seminar is offered twice a year in a hybrid format (in person and online) in English and runs for nine weeks each time.
MMMIGS Career Orientation
The MMMIGS Career Orientation seminar is aimed at doctoral candidates from the second year of their doctorate onwards, and postdocs. Participants learn to identify suitable career paths within and outside of academia and the next steps toward achieving their individual career goals. The Career Orientation seminar is offered twice a year in a hybrid format (in person and online) in English and runs for seven weeks each time.
