For 20 years, the CEWS has been compiling data to visualise gender equality at universities. In the new CEWS university ranking according to gender equality aspects from 2025, the University of Bremen is ranked within group three. Bremen is in the top group in the areas of doctorates, post-docs, full-time academic staff and increasing the proportion of female academic staff. There is still room for improvement in terms of professorships in order to achieve an even better ranking.
