Inclusion
"The University of Bremen is pursuing the goal of becoming an inclusive university. All students and staff should have equal access to the campus as a physical location, to information and communication, including its technologies and systems, as well as to all facilities and services." This goal is expressed in the second Inclusion Action Plan, which was passed in the Academic Senate on 25.01.2023. The University of Bremen thus contributes to the implementation of the Convention of the United Nations on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The Inclusion Action Plan addresses all students and staff and focusses on the university as an overall system that is to be made (more) inclusive.
The implementation of the goals and measures formulated in the Inclusion Action Plan is monitored and controlled by the Inclusion Action Plan Working Group. The working group is made up of the Rectorate of the University, the responsible department and unit heads as well as representatives from advisory services, the Equal Opportunities/Anti-discrimination Office and interest groups.
