The “Anti-Feminism Reporting Center” documented approximately 10 incidents per week in 2024. Attacks directed against individuals mainly affected women and the LGBTQIA+ community, especially trans* people. However, civil society engagement for women's rights, equality, and gender, sexual, or family diversity was also a major focus. Reporting center director Ans Hartmann explains: “Anti-feminism must be addressed in terms of its relevance to extreme right-wing movements and radicalization, as well as in connection with rising numbers of hate crimes and gender-based violence. Anti-feminism endangers large sections of the population and is a massive security risk that must be urgently addressed by society as a whole.”
