Prompting Workshop for Students and Staff at the University of Bremen

Event series on the topic of learning with generative AI, organisized by the Organizational Psychology Team

Generative AI such as ChatGPT can be a powerful tool—if you know how to ask the right questions. In this interactive four-hour workshop, you will learn how to use targeted prompting to get accurate, relevant, and, if necessary, creative answers, and how to effectively use ChatGPT to support your studies, research, or everyday work.

What you can expect:

  • Effective prompting techniques: How to formulate queries so that AI tools really help you.
  • Learning-enhancing strategies: Prompts that not only provide answers but also deepen your understanding.
  • Practical work: Directly try out and refine your prompts using concrete examples.

Special extra:

All participants who attend the workshop and take part in the accompanying evaluation will receive an official confirmation of participation from the University of Bremen.

The evaluation consists of short online questionnaires to be completed at the beginning and end of the workshop, as well as every two weeks over a period of eight weeks.

Please only register if you are willing to reliably complete these questionnaires – this will help us to evaluate the effectiveness of the workshop and improve future offerings.

Joint working discussion.

Learning processes over time

This topic focuses on how (informal) learning behavior in organizations changes over days, weeks, and months. Moreover, we analyze the dynamics of work-related learning and how learning trajectories differ between employees.

Designing work contexts

The goal of this thematic focus is to examine conducive conditions for work-related learning, employability, and organizational development, both by managers (e.g., shaping learning culture) and by employees (e.g., job crafting).

New Work requires New Learning

This topic is dedicated to the question of how employees in dynamic work environments can be empowered to learn "what they really, really want" in a self-directed way. The "Learning Opportunities Perception Potential", which helps employees to grasp learning opportunities, is considered crucial here.
