The Chancellor of the University of Bremen, the Vice Rectors and the Chancellor's personal assistant visit the IALB

On September 11, the Chancellor of the University of Bremen, Frauke Meyer, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Michal Kucera, and the Chancellor's personal advisor, Anja St?ckl, visited the Institute for Electric Drives, Power Electronics, and Components (IALB). The visit provided a valuable opportunity to discuss current developments, ongoing research projects, and future prospects for the institute.
Prof. Dr. Amir Ebrahimi began with a presentation on the IALB's main areas of research and selected projects. He highlighted recent advances in the fields of electric drive systems, power electronics, and electric machines. Future project ideas and possible areas of cooperation that could contribute to the further development of the institute and strengthen research at the University of Bremen were also discussed.
Following the presentation, the staff gave the guests a tour of the machine hall. There, they were able to see various test facilities and projects firsthand. The focus was on innovative approaches to the further development of electric machines, modern test benches, and current work in the field of energy-efficient drive systems.
The visit not only provided insight into the diverse research activities of the IALB, but also strengthened the dialogue between the institute's management and the university's leadership. This direct exchange represents an important contribution to the strategic development and future direction of research at the institute.
