Invitation to Present at the Lab Meeting of Prof. Dr. Cristina Becchio’s Research Group

Dr. Lena Kopnarski presented key findings from her dissertation at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf and engaged in an in-depth scientific exchange.

In 19 November 2025, Dr. Lena Kopnarski was invited to give a talk as part of the lab meeting of Prof. Dr. Cristina Becchio’s research group at the Department of Neurology, Head and Neurocenter, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. The group focuses on the cognitive and motor foundations of social interaction, providing an ideal setting for discussing current research on action coordination and object handovers.

In her talk, titled Kinematics and Dynamics in Handover Actions: From Shared Representations to the Integration of Predictions in Joint Actions, Lena Kopnarski presented central findings from her dissertation. Her work examines how people plan and adapt their movements during object handovers, and how shared representations and predictive processes contribute to successful joint actions.

The presentation was followed by an engaging and extensive discussion. Members of the research group contributed diverse perspectives, sparking numerous new ideas—ranging from potential follow-up experiments to more in-depth reanalyses of existing datasets.

The meeting provided a stimulating and highly productive scientific exchange, offering valuable impulses for future research.
