The future of decision-making requires an interdisciplinary approach that integrates diverse perspectives to address complex global challenges. 

In November 2026, the Center for Decision Research at the University of Bremen will host the 2nd International Decision-Making WeekThe Future of Decision-Making: AI, Governance & Ethics”.

This five-day interdisciplinary and interactive event will engage students, academics from diverse fields (political science, economics, law, artificial intelligence (AI) research and philosophy), policymakers, as well as industry and administrative professionals in collaborative dialogue and practical problem-solving.

The 3 ECTS-course is designed for graduate and advanced undergraduate students studying Political Science, Economics, Law, Philosophy, Professional Public Decision-Making, and related fields. It is also open as a continuiung education course to professionals with an interest in the topic of Decision Making and AI.

Conference venue:

University of Bremen

For external participants:

Overnight accommodation must be organised by the participant.

Programme:

You will find the preliminary programme here in due time.

Participants will receive 3 credit points.

Participation Fee:

Participation is free of charge for students. There is a participation fee of 450 Euro for external participants.

Travelling and accommodation costs must be borne by the participants themselves. It may be possible to apply for a scholarship from the home university.
