April 28, 2024: We received travel funding from the MIT Global Seed Funds for our project "Inverse-disigned Nanostructures for Tailored Heat Flow" (https://misti.mit.edu/faculty-funds/past-seed-fund-winners). Our project partner at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA), is Dr. Giuseppe Romano. 

December 29, 2023: Our open access article "Optical and thermal characterization of a group-III nitride semiconductor membrane by microphotoluminescence spectroscopy and Raman thermometry" has published in Phys. Rev. B.

November 13, 2023: Our article "Optical and thermal characterization of a group-III nitride semiconductor membrane by microphotoluminescence spectroscopy and Raman thermometry" has been accepted for publication in Phys. Rev. B.

July 7, 2023: Mahmoud Elhajhasan (PhD student of the RG Callsen) won the only poster award on the "XVII International Conference on Phonon Scattering in Condensed Matter (Phonons 2023)" in Paris

August 12, 2022: Large scale research equipment fund from the German Research foundation for a "Measuring station for optical thermometry"
