Overview

As part of the programme funded by the university allowance, international experts and leading figures in their respective scientific fields are appointed as U Bremen Excellence Chairs and granted membership rights at the university by the university president. The five currently funded Excellence Chairs, supported through the university allowance, distinguished themselves in an application process by demonstrating the excellence of their collaborative work with their hosting professors at the University of Bremen, for a three-year period. Additional Excellence Chairs are located within the Excellence Clusters.
