Time Management

If you do not wish to apply for a Master's programme, this tight schedule is of course not binding!

The ideal example time calculation of the central examination office (ZPA) for the successful completion of the final module (Bachelor's thesis) is as follows:

1. For submission of the complete registration documents to the Examinations Office by 01.04, the Examinations Office guarantees that the documents for a Master's follow-up programme will be processed on time.
2. Processing time of the ZPA, meaning the appointment of the reviewers by the examination office with setting of the submission deadline: approx. 2 weeks
3. The period for completing the Bachelor's thesis is usually 12 weeks (please refer to your subject-specific examination regulations for regulations on completion time, scope, etc.); this means that the Bachelor's thesis is submitted around the end of June to mid-July.
4. Reviewers' deadline: approx. 3 weeks; the reviews must therefore be submitted to the ZPA by the middle/end of August
5. Issue of certificates by the Examination Office: in the course of September

Notes on the Master's application

To apply for the MA degree programmes at the University of Bremen, you need a provisional transcript of records, which must be issued by the Examinations Office in such a way that it can be submitted by the regular application deadline. Please refer to the Study Database (DBS) for the applicable deadline (as a rule, 150 CP must already have been earned).

Proof of language proficiency and successful completion of the Bachelor's programme can be submitted up to two weeks after the start of lectures in the winter semester. The final certificate and the Bachelor's degree certificate must be submitted by 31.12 of the year.

Information on this can be found on the Master Portal of the University of Bremen. In order to ensure that certificates are issued on time, the sample timetable should not be exceeded if possible.
