Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
If you have been selected for the survey, you will have received a letter from us. In this letter, you will find a link to the survey. To participate, simply enter the link into your internet browser (e.g., Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc.) or scan the QR code. To start the survey, you will need to enter your individual access code. The survey will take approximately 25 minutes. At the beginning of the survey, you will be asked to confirm your consent to participate.
Please note that the access code can only be used once. If your access code no longer works and you would like to restart the survey, please contact our study team at salustransformprotect me ?!uni-bremenprotect me ?!.de
In the online survey, you will be asked questions where you can select and click on your answers. You will not need to write long texts or anything similar. At the end of the survey, we will ask if you would be willing to participate in a follow-up survey on physical activity and sleep.
At the start of the survey, there were some technical difficulties, and access was temporarily unavailable on the morning of Wednesday, May 28.
If you tried to take part during that time, please try again now – the link should be working.
If you still cannot access the survey, please contact us at salustransformprotect me ?!uni-bremenprotect me ?!.de and include your personal access code.
For the survey, we are collaborating with the local registry office in your city, which provided us with your address. This provision occurs only when the project – like ours – is of public interest, follows scientific principles, and ensures compliance with data protection regulations. Your participation is voluntary. If you choose not to participate, there will be no negative consequences for you.
Your personal data (name and address) and responses from the survey will, of course, be treated with strict confidentiality and stored on a separate server, with the data being kept separately and securely. Information about personal characteristics, such as your age or education level, will only be used in the analysis to distinguish between the living conditions of different population groups. All data will be converted into numerical form and stored separately from your personal data. We can only identify who provided the data with significant effort using your personal access code (pseudonymization). Your personal data will be deleted after 6 months. Therefore, revocation and deletion of your data from the survey are only possible up to 6 months after participation (anonymization). The handling of your data complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The SalusTransform project officially started in February 2025. Funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is provided for a total of 3 years, until early 2028. During this time, we will conduct various data collections, analyze the collected data, and publish the results.
Due to data protection regulations, we cannot provide individual feedback to participants.
We will present the results and findings in various formats in the neighborhood.
If you live in the districts of Blumenthal or Kirchhuchting, you can take part in the assessment of physical activity and sleep quality. Please call us at 0421-218 68862 or send us an email at bewegtprotect me ?!uni-bremenprotect me ?!.de.
We will then arrange an appointment with you, and a member of the study team will bring the activity monitor to your home. The device is worn on the non-dominant wrist for seven days. After that, it will be collected from you.
An activity monitor is a small device that records information about your body movements and exposure to light. The monitor is safe and contains a battery, similar to those used in wristwatches. It does not record heart rate and does not contain GPS, so your location cannot be tracked. Many studies with children and adults have used activity monitors.
The activity monitor is worn like a wristwatch on the non-dominant wrist for 7 days, almost continuously. The device is not waterproof and should not be worn while bathing, showering, or swimming. In addition, the activity monitor is sensitive to high temperatures and should not be worn in a sauna.
