From September 15 to 19, 2025, the Postgraduate International Programme (PIP) in Physics and Electrical Engineering hosted a highly successful Summer School, giving 27 students from different Universities the opportunity to gain knowledge and insights. This educational program, focused on space science, aimed to inspire and prepare students for careers in the space industry.

Throughout the five-day event, participants benefited from hands-on experiences, expert lectures, and networking opportunities with professionals in the field. The program covered a range of topics, from space exploration to aerospace engineering, with a focus on interdisciplinary studies that connect space science with real-world applications.

The organizing committee, comprising Adriano Lopes Pata (ITEM), Katharina Dudde (Solid State Physics), Linus Andrae (Environmental Physics), Nithya Raj (ITEM), and Kerstin Janssen (PIP), deserves special recognition for their dedication and flawless organization of the event. The PIP Summer School provided a unique opportunity for students to gain knowledge from industry experts, network with peers and professionals, and enhance their resumes with valuable experiences.
