Outstanding PhD supervisors were also found and honored in 2019

Prof. Dr. Iris Pigeot and Prof. Dr. Andreas Fischer-Lescano have been awarded the new ‘Prize for Outstanding PhD Supervision’ of the University of Bremen for their excellent supervision of doctoral candidates. Alumni der Universit?t Bremen e.V. is partner of the award and donated the prize money, which has to be used for the specific purpose of endeavors to support doctoral candidates. Board member Dr.-Ing. Reinhard Ahlers explained: “Many awards honor the outstanding work of PhD students. Their supervision is a significant factor for that.” The nominees “accompanied and inspired” their students “on their way to exceptional work.”
