Principal Investigator
Prof. Dr. Jan Philipp Wagner
Philipp studied chemistry at the Justus-Liebig-University Gie?en,where he earned his Master’s degree in 2012. He then pursued a PhD under the guidance of Prof. Peter R. Schreiner, focusing on quantum mechanical tunneling and London dispersion forces in organic chemistry. In 2016, Philipp joined the research group of Prof. Mike Duncan at the University of Georgia in Athens as a postdoctoral fellow, conducting infrared laser spectroscopy on exotic gas-phase molecules. In 2018, he returned to Germany to lead an independent research group at the University of Tübingen, mentored by Prof. Holger Bettinger. Since 2025, Philipp has been a Professor of Organic Chemistry (W2) at the University of Bremen.
