This page from the International Office is intended for international full-time students who wish to pursue a degree at the University of Bremen - so-called degree-seeking students. It primarily provides support with non-academic questions related to the life during studying. 

Important contact points besides the International Office:

  • Central Student Advisory Service (ZSB)Supports you in choosing a study program and with general questions regarding study organization, such as admission requirements, application deadlines, or orientation before applying.
     
  • The Student Office (SfS)Responsible for the application and admission process. Only the Student Office has access to all application and student data and can provide information about it.

    Important note on enrollment: The application process differs for EU citizens and non-EU citizens. For most degree programs, you must provide proof of German language proficiency at level C1. Exceptions apply to international degree programs. If you do not yet meet the language requirements, you will need to complete a preparatory studies. Conditional admission (bedingte Zulassung) without sufficient German skills is not possible at the University Bremen. 
     
  • Study Center of your facultyYour point of contact for questions regarding study planning, examination regulations and module overviews during your studies or late arrival. 
     
  • Newcomer Service for Exchange students: Please visit the Newcomer Service website if you are coming to Bremen as part of an exchange program (e.g. Erasmus, overseas cooperations).
