He had advised the commission on the preparation of the constitution, in particular with regard to the abolition of the death penalty, within the framework of the court organisation reform and articles relating to the economy. For two decades, he continued to provide advice on these issues at the level of simple legislation and practice, the Civil Code, the Code of Civil Procedure, and the Arbitration Act. Prof. Knieper will be presented with the medal by a Kazakhstan diplomat in Frankfurt/Main soon.
