Denis Obrezkov Successfully Defended his PHD Thesis

At the end of June, Denis Obrezkov successfully defended his dissertation “Human Factors in Access Control: Analysis and Design”. Denis was a scholarship holder in our graduate college “Empowering Digital Media” for four years, where he worked in depth on the topic of ‘User Behavior in Access Control Systems’.

In his doctoral thesis, Denis investigated the topic of user behavior in conditional access systems. He analyzed how users perceive authorization systems and their resulting behavior, for example the approach they use to protect their privacy. Subsequently, based on cognitive science findings, case studies were conducted using metaphors on the one hand and categorizations for access control on the other. Build on the categorization version, two models for collaborative platforms were developed, tested and evaluated.

Congratulations on your success, Denis
