Starting a Reseach Partnership

Are you planning a data-related project?

Whether it's a Collaborative Research Center (e.g., INF projects), a BMFTR-funded joint project, or a graduate program – the DSC not only offers advisory support but also actively participates as a project partner. Are you looking for a data-competent partner to implement sustainable data management strategies, apply advanced data science methods, or integrate tailored training programs?

We offer methodological expertise, infrastructure, and experience in interdisciplinary projects – from proposal development to implementation.

Our Competencies

We also offer:

  • Access to our IT infrastructure (GPU/CPU clusters, virtual machines), which can be used for data-intensive research projects or scaled as needed within the project – without having to build systems from scratch.
  • Interface expertise to support communication and collaboration between methodological and application domains.
  • Support for proposals and ongoing projects. Be it in conceptual development, content design, or by contributing elements that strengthen the application (e.g., text modules on research data management)
  • DSC Seed Grant – to kick-start new projects.

What a partnership could look like

The DSC can become a partner in your project – for example, in the following ways:

INF projects within Collaborative Research Centers

  • Design and implementation of research data management in collaborative projects
  • Example: Currently in the proposal phase with CRC ARISE

Training programs and doctoral programs with a data-focused approach, such as graduate schools

  • Development and delivery of data literacy formats for doctoral candidates or other groups
  • Example: BMFTR Project DataNord

Methodological aspects in DFG/BMFTR collaborative project proposals

  • Scientific collaboration in the field of data science and data-driven methods
  • Example: BMFTR Project INDIFUN AI
