The DSC connects domain specialists from economics, natural sciences, humanities, engineering, life sciences or sociology with methodological experts from mathematics, statistics, and computer sciences to facilitate the emergence of cross-cutting research projects and fields.<br /> <br /> Through this integrative approach, the DSC overcomes disciplinary boundaries and stimulates cooperative research at the intersection of methodology, theory, and application. The pillar qualification reflects the DSC’s commitment to strengthen data science competencies at the University of Bremen and train the next generation by developing data science education and training programs. As part of the pillar services, the DSC offers computing capacities to perform computation-intensive data analyses in research and education as well as methodological and technical support for the implementation of algorithms.<br /> <br /> The three pillars are interlinked and progress in one of them will be beneficial for the others.
